11LET'S CONTINUE THE CONVERSATION

There's a wealth of information out there about how to live the life you've imagined, and many professionals with various credentials and honorifics appended to their name who are eager to dispense advice on how to do it. Unfortunately, much of that information is misguided, and many of those professionals, while acting in good faith, will supply you with bad ideas and ineffectual methods.

So it's no wonder that so many people still lack much-needed direction in key areas of their life—even when they're very accomplished in others. No wonder so many wrestle with the feeling that something important is still missing despite all they've achieved, and all that's going well. There’s a feeling that the jigsaw puzzle of their existence is half-finished, and the cover art on the box remains obscured and incomplete.

Worse, perhaps, than the prevalence of this feeling among successful ambitious people —a vague sense of lacking at best and a “quiet desperation” at worst—is the fact that they often feel that they're alone in the experience. They blame themselves for feeling this way. I'm here to reassure you, both as a coach drawing on a wealth of experience and an individual whose own road has been meandering and full of detours, you aren't alone. Moreover, the blame does not lie with you.
