Framing your Ideas

In order to persuade someone to your point of view, your ideas should be structured and well thought-out. Present your proposals in a logical way, and phrase suggestions carefully, so that you can guide discussions effectively.

TIP

Give your proposal a catchy name, so that it grabs people’s attention.

Structuring your ideas

People respond positively to proposals that are well organized. Catch people’s interest from the start by letting them know why acting on your proposals will benefit them. Then, describe the underlying principles of your ideas so that the basis for your proposals is clear. Show how your idea will work in practice. Ask people to imagine ways in which they could apply your ideas, too.
