ABSTRACT: In the 2012 Presidential Election, all kinds of American Christian Right (CR) organiza-
tions went all out to get votes for Mitt Romney. They campaigned against the issues like abortion, same-sex
marriage, and the healthcare law, and denounced President Obama’s policies as a threat to life, religious
liberty, and the traditional nuclear family. The result of this election, however, proved that the CR failed to
