The GSM (RPE-LTP)-Based Speech Information Hiding Approach

Abstract

GSM is a speech coding method using Regular Pulse Excitation–Long Term Prediction (RPE-LTP). In this chapter, a novel approach of secure communication based on the technique of speech information hiding is proposed. The proposed approach adopts the GSM speech coding scheme based on RPE-LTP to establish a secret speech subliminal channel for speech secure communication over PSTN and VoIP by using a proposed ABS speech information hiding LPC-IH-FS algorithm and an extracting BD-IE-MES algorithm.
