Abstract:
This chapter continues the policy theme of Chapter 2 by considering examples of information literacy policy and advocacy activity drawn from the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom. Most but not all originate within the information profession. Examples include the work of the National Forum on Information literacy in the United States, a German advocacy document prepared for a parliamentary Committee of Enquiry, the work of the former Scottish Information Literacy Project and the activities of the Welsh Information Literacy Project.
