Information, measure the Accuracy and other critical Quality Characteristics
of the data and Information Presentation.
Measuring Accuracy of Logistics Information Quality (TIQM P2)
The second assessment is an assessment of the accuracy of Logistics Information.
Follow the general steps described in Chapter 5 “Measuring Accuracy and
Other Information Quality Characteristics.” Following are tips for Logistics
Information Quality measurement.
tip Conduct separate assessments of Logistics Information. One will be
of your internal Logistics. Your Logistics Information are your schedules for
Production and movement of Products and Materials within your warehouses,
manufacturing facilities, and to your distribution centers or retail units. The
other Logistics Information you depend on is that of your Suppliers who are
scheduling from their Suppliers, if any, to their manufacturing and distribution
centers to your receiving points. Everyone in the total Supply Chain is interde-
pendent on each other to increase value and decrease waste in the movement
of Materials and Products to the end-Consumers.
