P6. Establish and Sustain the Information Quality Environment:
TIQM P6 is the framework for and the umbrella process that includes
the ongoing transformation of the culture that has created the status
quo. P6 describes the Transformations that must be effected over time
in order to sustain a Culture and Value System of Customer Care, and
Continuous Process Improvement for the good of all Stakeholders.
This helps you implement the 14 Points of Information Quality as a
Business Management Tool in the Enterprise. This transformation is
not only counter-intuitive — it will be resisted vehemently by many
who have a vested interest in preserving the status quo.
How important is P6? Consider that the costs of the status quo,
whatever they may be, are the result of the culture that has produced
the status quo.
