knowledge, there will be a shift to internal and continued external coaching
until new habits are developed and the IQ culture is sustainable.
Tip Paradigm shift messages need to be heard about seven times in order
for individuals to fully understand the ramifications of Information Quality
Management. Coaching is required for Executives to understand not just the
Principles but also their own new behaviors and accountabilities.
External coaching is required for the IQ Leader tasked with implementing
the IQ Management environment, both for the Leader’s sake and for the ability
to conduct ongoing coaching of the CEO.
The role of an external consultant in coaching is to ensure that the IQ Leader is
thoroughly versed and knowledgeable in IQ Management Principles, Processes,
and the Culture Transformation process required. The external coach also con-
ducts one-on-one coaching with the CEO, to provide the Knowledge Transfer,
to provide message development to the Stakeholders, and to enable the CEO
to understand and embrace the IQ Business Value Proposition and to enhance
the CEO’s ability to lead the Transformation.
