Information Product Specifications assessment, study what you have learned. If
there are systemic IQ issues with the Information Product Specification Quality,
improve the Information Development and Data Definition processes.
Guidelines
The Information Groups should have cohesiveness among the entity types
and attributes. The sample Information Groups in Figure 4-5 illustrate a group
of descriptive information about Products that will be of broad interest to the
Enterprise, while the second group illustrates Product Inventory with physical
stacking patterns that will be of more limited interest, that is, to a smaller set
of Information Stakeholder areas.
Step P1.3: Identify Information Stakeholders and Groups
This step identifies those Information Stakeholders who may participate in
assessing the quality of the Information Product Specifications. Stakeholders
participating in the assessments should not have been part of the Data Definition
Team that defined the data to be assessed.
Objective of Step P1.3
The goal is to identify the “Stakeholders” of an Information Group, including
internal and external Information Consumers and internal or external informa-
tion producers.
