(and Who to Focus On)

Who is more important to you when you are trying to win resources and support for your ideas: people who know you well, or people who hardly know you at all? Most of us would be tempted to say that the people who know us well are the most important providers of resources to pursue an innovative idea. But there are several problems with this intuition.
