9. Telling the Story: IBM’s Industry Solutions Labs
At the conclusion of each FOAK project, the FOAK Joint Project Team has an important accomplishment: They’ve created a solution to a real business problem or new market opportunity, and it has been proven with a single client. But the job isn’t done. The IBM Project Team still needs to work on gaining broader marketplace awareness of the results of its project so that the work can generate market demand and attract the attention of the catching organization(s). A healthy pipeline of new opportunities will motivate the catching organization(s) to accelerate their efforts in commercializing the assets.
