The CPM Office will often play multiple roles related to Principle 2, Refresh and Communicate Strategy. Most enterprises I studied realize the value of a comprehensive strategic planning process using multiple methods and tools to understand and decipher strategic opportunities, or what some call the game changers.
CPM Core Process Blueprint and Key Process Roles
Careful research of the cases in this book reveals they follow a discernable set of core CPM processes organized within the Five Key Principles. These processes were arrayed in
Exhibit 3.1 to provide strategic context and a working framework to assist you in your organization. Note:
Principle 2 Refresh and Communicate Strategy consists of four integrated CPM processes. Some case organizations have expanded beyond these core processes.
