Understanding AutoCAD Menu File Types
Various menu files define the menus used by AutoCAD. The files that you are concerned with in customization work are in standard text-file format that you can easily modify. You can also define new menus. If you create or edit a menu, you assign items to the menu. You associate menu macros to these items that perform specific AutoCAD functions. A menu macro can be as simple as a sequence of standard AutoCAD commands or as complex as a combination of commands and AutoLISP or DIESEL code or a combination of all three.
