In this section, you will learn about the leading thin client terminal solutions available on the market today. The term thin client terminal was chosen rather than Windows-based terminal because, as you will see in this section, not all manufacturers of thin client terminals use a platform based on Windows.
Because of the large variety of thin client solutions out there, the line between desktops and thin clients has begun to blur. In this appendix, the difference between a thin client terminal and a low-end desktop is the lack of moving parts.
