Development Environment

Given that Exchange Web Services is a standards-based SOAP Web service, you can call it from any platform that knows how to make HTTP POST requests. Of course, given that most of you will be using autogenerated proxies and that most of those autogenerated proxies will be for Visual Studio .NET users, we will take some time to discuss how to set up your development environment so that you can use Visual Studio to talk to Exchange Web Services. Even if you are on a different platform, we encourage you to read over this material because we might slip in a suggestion here and there that is applicable to other environments.
