Usually, the mailbox itself isn’t terribly interesting. However, the contents of the mailbox are. Each item or folder within a mailbox must have a way to distinguish it from another item or folder within the mailbox (and even outside of the mailbox). You make this distinction by using identifiers, of which there are three basic categories in Exchange Web Services: folder, item, and attachment ids. Each of these identifiers uniquely identifies its related object.
