Folder Operations

Folders wouldn’t be very interesting if you couldn’t do anything with them. And there wouldn’t be a need for a book if folders were not interesting. So, in order to write a book, the Exchange Web Services team had to add folder operations.

GetFolder

The GetFolder Web method allows you to get information about an existing folder. Of course, you need a way to identify a folder to be able to access it, and folder ids serve this purpose quite nicely.[45] Unless your application is caching ids in offline mode, you typically start your mailbox access by specifying one of the distinguished folder ids. Let’s look at the structure of a GetFolder request.
