Quick Masking and Copying the Strumming Arm
Now, more of Gary's right appendage needs copying than his fretting hand because more of his right appendage is covering the guitar. You already have experience selecting the fingers, but how do you select Gary's slightly hairy arm? You use a hard brush tip for the fingers, select only the arm, and then paint a few strokes with a small, angled brush to pick up some of the shadow/hair to the right of the arm.

1. | Hide the guitar layer again, and click the Background layer as the editing layer (also called the target layer). |
2. | Zoom in to a 300% viewing resolution. Choose the Brush tool, and then click on the Quick Mask icon (or press Q). |
