Introducing Marquee Tools

The Marquee tools, shown in Figure 5.1, are used to create selections in the shapes of rectangles, ellipses, and one-pixel wide rows and columns.

The best way to see how these tools work is to use them to create some neat stuff. So, let's jump right in and make a poster for the National Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas. Our theme for this program is centered on the World of Texas Bluebonnets, and to make such a world, we'll use the Elliptical Marquee tool.
