A fellow guitarist might note now that Gary isn't actually playing a chord; the neck of the Tama and the Les Paul aren't in perfect alignment. But you're going to make it perfect!
Using Transparency to Align the Guitar Necks
1. | Zoom in to about a 1:1 viewing resolution (100%) of the GaryLesPaul image. |
2. | The guitar layer (Layer 1) should be the active layer. Press 5 on the keyboard to send the guitar to 50% opacity. |
3. | Carefully, with the Move tool, drag the guitar neck back and forth until Gary's fingers appear to be placed between the frets, and the last fret appears to be aligned with the last fret on the Tama guitar (see Figure 18.5).
