Summary

As you've seen in this chapter, good preparation in Photoshop makes working in ImageReady almost an afterthought. ImageReady is capable of doing a lot of what Photoshop can do; but when you're working in ImageReady, you want to focus on what it does best—rollovers, animations, image maps, and so on. Take the time to set things up correctly in Photoshop because Photoshop offers a more robust feature set for the actual designing aspect of your graphics. After you set things up, you can focus on creating rollovers and optimizing image slices. Then you can export the results and easily be done with the ImageReady side of preparing files for the Web.
