From Photoshop to XARA

XARA is sort of an OLE client/server. And it's a Windows-only program, although it runs quite nicely over emulation on the Mac. The following sections take you through your importing and exporting options.

Edit, Paste Bitmap

No Adobe Photoshop Image Object option is available when you paste from the Clipboard into XARA from Photoshop. Your best option is to choose Bitmap from the XARA dialog box after pressing Ctrl+V. The default resolution of 96 pixels per inch is in effect.

File, Import

XARA's File, Import command, as in many other applications discussed in this chapter, is used for larger bitmaps. Use the TIFF file format to retain resolution when you import.
