Chapter 7 And the Rest
In this chapter we will focus mainly on those remaining MPI features that incur substantial rework of the library internals as compared to the extended MPI subset defined in Chapter 4. Most of the technical work related to adding new MPI features will be addressed only in passing. We will not be programming much, we will rather be discussing the general direction and referring to the full-scale MPI implementations instead. The reason is that if we were to go into any serious programming here, we would have to add some 90% of the MPI functionality, which would naturally take at least nine times as long as the work done so far.
