In-Place Upgrade of an NT4 Domain
At this point, you should have a clear roadmap of your deployment plans. You should know which classic domain controllers you are going to upgrade and in what order. All the prerequisites should be complete. You have brewed a big pot of coffee, and you're ready to begin.
Figure 9.7 shows a classic NT multiple-master domain with a single resource domain. In a production network, there could be many resource domains with interlocking trusts to several account domains. The configuration in the diagram shows a user in the second account domain who accesses a shared resource on a server in the resource domain.
