Grooving to the Beat!
Sometimes you feel as if your projects are a little too cold or mechanical, or something sounds “off.” Groove quantization can massage your projects by giving them a human feel or helping an off-kilter recording sound a little more in time rhythmically. This is an exciting new feature of ACID 5 worthy of special mention.
Applying Grooves
To apply a groove to a track:
1. Click the drop-down arrow next to the Groove Tool button on the toolbar and choose a groove from the list.
2. Click and drag over an event on the Timeline. The event will shrink a bit vertically to accommodate the groove. You can see the groove being painted at the bottom of the event.
