Recording
Sound Forge® is a very capable monaural and stereo recorder. It is not a multitrack recorder, though. It does not have overdub capabilities (though you can “mix” audio with it). For recording voice-overs, single instruments, and general stereo and mono audio projects, for example converting music from vinyl to digital or capturing a live concert, Sound Forge has a feature-rich toolset.
