Abstract

Gasification is a process which occurs when coal, char or mixtures of coal and other organic by-products, such as biomass or petcoke, react with an oxidizer to produce a gaseous fuel-rich product. Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) is a clean technology for power generation.
