Abstract
In recent years, concerns about these problems have grown rapidly, and the underlying causes are now addressed at a global level. International treaties that impose compulsory limits on industrial nations' use of fossil fuels can achieve these goals by replacing fuel, managing energy, increasing energy efficiency, using renewable energy systems, and restricting land clearance. Global warming and rapid growth have required multi-disciplinary energy research programs run by the universities to integrate energy technology research with energy policy, energy conversion awareness, climate change policy, sociology, and green economies. There is a need for universities to take the initiative to incorporate these programs in education for the students to learn about new career opportunities in renewable energy.
Rapid technological advancements put the efficacy of traditional technical education in jeopardy. New revenue streams are emerging, and technical departments’ reliance on them is diminishing.
