Application of Genetic Algorithm in AGC Synthesis
Genetic algorithm (GA) is a numerical optimization algorithm that is capable of being applied to a wide range of optimization problems, guaranteeing the survival of the fittest. Time consumption methods such as trial and error for finding the optimum solution cause interest in meta-heuristic methods such as GA. The GA becomes a very useful tool for tuning of control parameters in AGC systems.
The GA begins with a set of initial random populations represented in chromosomes; each one consists of some genes (binary bits).
