The following section covers the required components and steps for the successful deployment of AppDefense. A target application environment that will be protected by AppDefense needs to have the following:
- A minimum of two ESXi hosts, running ESXi 6.5a or above
- vCenter 6.5+ managing ESXi hosts
- VM hardware version 13
- IP address for AppDefense appliance OVA and HTTPS connectivity to the internet
- At least one production-like application that runs on Windows Server 2012 or 2016 64-bit
- Preferably, the selected applications should be distributed (for example, Web-App-DB)
- NSXv 6.3 or above
- vRA 7.2 or above
