Abstract

The safety of a child is an important concern for every parent. The busy lifestyle restricts close monitoring of their children. The emphasis is on using enhanced technology to address this issue. Therefore, this paper provides an overview of how IoT technologies are efficient in developing a real-time monitoring application. The aim is to develop a new framework that monitors the movements of children and can provide an accurate location with the help of smart devices and different localization techniques. IoT emerges as an advanced automation and analytics system. It exploits sensing, networking, data, and different technologies to provide the whole system as a product. The proposed model will ensure the safety of children by integrating cell phones, tracking mechanisms, and cloud technologies. The system will keep track of the children and send real-time notifications to parents so that appropriate action can be taken in emergency situations. Also, certain sensors can be deployed, such as sensors for detecting body temperature and heartbeat to make sure the safety of a child.
