Until now, we have largely been concerned with all of the capabilities that are freely available in Untangle. Many of these features are built directly into the core of Untangle and process traffic right in the Linux kernel itself, bypassing the Untangle Virtual Machine and achieving very high performance even on moderately capable hardware.
