Arranging Interviews

It may be difficult to arrange interviews with all the shortlisted candidates in a short space of time. Many will need to take time off from their current jobs, or to travel a considerable distance. Bear this in mind, and be as flexible as possible in scheduling.

Be prepared to schedule some interviews outside office hours.

Staging interviews

Before arranging any interviews, clarify how long the whole process will take. The level of vacancy may dictate how many stages you need: for a junior position, one interview may be enough to reach a decision, but for a more senior post you may want to ask some candidates for a second interview.
