Chapter 5. Editing with the Modify Panel Tools

The preceding chapter contained information about how to perform the basic editing tasks by clicking objects. In addition to those editing features, you can use editing tools and commands that are unique to CAD drawing.

This chapter provides information about the editing tools in the Home tab's Modify panel. These tools do everything, including joining line endpoints, extending objects to meet other objects, and breaking objects in two. In this chapter, you'll also learn how to edit blocks and external references (xrefs), which are collections of objects that act like a single object.
