Chapter 6. Creating 3D Drawings

AutoCAD makes it easy to create 3D shapes of any type, from simple boxes and cones to complex curved surfaces. Covering all the 3D modeling features of AutoCAD would require an entire book. This chapter gives you a taste of what can be done, and I hope you'll be able to take some of this information and create your own basic 3D models.

You'll find a mix of tutorials and command descriptions in this chapter. Tutorials walk you through features that you'll use frequently. Other features that are not as important for new users are described with figures and a less detailed discussion of their use.
