Chapter 7. Reason's Effects
Effects and signal processing devices are used in just about every modern recording and are an important element in any studio, whether hardware or software based. For example, a typical Reason song might contain a subtle reverb effect applied to drums and keyboards to give the illusion of natural space, various instances of EQ used to shape the individual sounds, and one or more of the MClass devices placed between the mixer and the hardware device and applied to the stereo mix.
In other cases, Reason's effects can be put to even more dramatic uses and become a part of an instrument's performance. A delay might be added to a synthesizer arpeggio or a percussion track in order to create rhythmic complexity, or sweeping ...
