Along with its many instruments and effects, Reason includes a number of devices that don't fit neatly into either specific category. These devices can be used for creative routing, enhancing your ability to create and play back performances. In this chapter you'll learn about all of these devices and how they can enhance your ability to create music with Reason 4. This chapter will also cover a new feature in Reason 4 called the ReGroove mixer. Each individual lane on any track in a Reason song can be routed through the ReGroove mixer to create rhythmic adjustments and variations.
