Regardless of whether you are developing a brand new business or looking at ways to optimize an existing business that has lots of documentation in various forms, the top-down approach is a faster and more straightforward approach to creating a business architecture model than the bottom-up approach.

The top-down approach is inherently more structured than the bottom-up approach.
