Project Management
Installation of plant and machinery among others may refer to projects. A project consists of several activities. Some activities may run in parallel, whereas some activities may only start when certain specific operations are over. Innovation efforts may also be planned like a project in certain cases. Utilization of resources becomes an important issue so that the project is completed on time with minimum cost. Bar chart (Figure I.1) is a simple technique for project planning in which various activities are shown with respect to time.
