It wasn’t easy losing a coauthor on this title, as evidenced by the fact that I tried to go it alone without Bill Dudney after he returned to Apple, and I wasn’t able to get it done for iOS 7. So, thanks to Bill for the two books that we were able to do together. I also consider myself lucky that Rebecca Gulick and Susannah Pfalzer planted the idea in my head to seek out a coauthor, as that led me to working with Janie.
It’s been really fun working with someone who sees the material without a lot of legacy bias, who sees the ideas of Cocoa and Swift for what they are, and how to make them easy and fun to grasp.
