About the Author
Kevin Brown is the president and CEO of IPCELERATE, Inc., a software developer
of convergence applications. Prior to IPCELERATE, Kevin was VP for the Convergence
Development Group at Norstan. Kevin has more than 25 years of experience in the voice
and data telecommunications industry, including positions held with ROLM, VMX, and
Intecom between 1985[nd]1995. Kevin was VP sales and marketing for Selsius Systems in
the late 1990s and worked in the voice business unit for Cisco Systems after its acquisition
of Selsius Systems in 1998.
Kevin works on two nonprofit foundations: as a cofounder of the First Things
Foundation, a Dallas-based foundation that helps single mothers and their children; and as
an advisor for the Ivan and Sam Foundation in Georgia, focusing on helping victims and
families touched by pediatric cancer. He speaks at numerous industry and company events
and lives in Texas with his wife, Georgina, and their six children.
