We have good news and … more good news. The good news is you can easily set up your iPad so your contacts, appointments, reminders, events, mail settings, bookmarks, books, music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and photos are synchronized between your computer and your iPad (or other iDevices). And the more good news is that after you set up your iPad, your contacts, appointments, events, and everything else we just mentioned can be kept up to date automatically on all of those devices.

This communication between your iPad and computer is called syncing (short for synchronizing). Don’t worry: It’s easy, and we walk you through the entire process in this chapter.
