Your iPhone is a wonderful device for keeping tabs on your schedule and your tasks. Use the Calendar app to note all your appointments and events and share them across your devices. Work in the Reminders app to organize your tasks into different categories, keep track of what you’ve done and what you haven’t, and set reminders based on time or location. And take advantage of the Clock app to see the time anywhere around the world, set alarms and timers, and time events precisely with a stopwatch.

Working with Calendar

To keep on top of your appointments and events, work with Calendar by tapping the Calendar icon on the Home screen. The icon shows today’s day and date, such as Fri 14, for quick reference.

Calendar lets you use five views:

  • Year: Use this view (shown on the left in Figure 11-1) to navigate quickly through years and months. Scroll up and down to reach the month you want to view. Tap the month, and it appears in month view.
