Faces at a Glance

Chances are you take a lot of photos of the people in your life. With the Faces feature you can explore your photo library by face: “Show me all the photos of Suzanne,” or “Show me every photo containing both Suzanne and Bethany.”

Start by “introducing” iPhoto to someone: select a photo of Suzanne and type her name. iPhoto displays more photos that may contain her. Confirm the ones that include Suzanne, reject the ones that don’t. The more photos you confirm, the better iPhoto gets at recognizing Suzanne. When you import new photos of her, iPhoto recognizes them. It’s futuristic facial-recognition technology—applied to the people you love.
