Chapter Objectives:

Biosafety itself is a measure to reduce or eliminate accidental exposure to infectious agents and prevent the release of infectious agents into the environment. This objective of biosafety can only be achieved in the real sense by the good and safe laboratory practices while handling GMOs. In this chapter students will learn what are the good laboratory practices. They will learn about the different levels of biosafety, its possibility of pathogenicity and measure of its gravity at each level.
