Technology, Distance Learning, and Social Media
The role of technology and the directly associated offshoots of social media, distance learning, distributed learning, and various types of software, including learning management systems (LMSs), have created a range of options for instructional designers to review and consider for their design projects. Some designers assign great significance to these issues; others consider them as just another tool to use if the situation warrants their use. It is important that designers review these options and take a moment to consider the real issues associated with technology in the design process.
