Reporting

Continuous improvement begins with reporting that can be used to assess and fine-tune the performance of your newly automated operation. This section, similar to project management, is not a primer on the details of reporting within the enterprise. Additionally, you will note that reporting requirements are littered throughout the technical components you have defined, designed, and readied for deployment.

Make sure that you are capturing the right data at the right times for both technical process components and (administrative) management reporting. Table 7-2 contains the categories you need to capture in order to measure the quality of your environment:
