Projects involving technology have often been viewed as IT projects and the responsibility of the specialist IT function within an organisation. Delivering IT systems has been problematic because of a failure to clearly define the business requirements and a tendency to focus on the system as the deliverable. However, the perception of IT and its value-add is changing significantly in leading organisations.
