Jobs and roles

A key link between organisation and people perspectives is the design of jobs and roles. Often a job may involve more than one role. For example, a business solutions manager who has responsibility for a defined area such as marketing has both business analysis and account management roles. It is important for the business solutions manager to understand the distinction and the overlap between these roles in order to perform both of these properly.
