REVIEWING THE IMPLEMENTATION

The sponsor and programme manager should organise a PIR following the implementation of the change. A PIR is a formal review of a programme or project. It is used to answer the question: did we achieve what we set out to do, in business terms, and if not, what should be done?

A PIR is typically done when there has been time to demonstrate the learning or business benefits of an IT-enabled change programme. Some organisations will conduct these reviews of learning and benefits at different times depending on the type of change that has occurred.
